Dr. Shahram Ardalan has been licensed as a psychologist (PSY 15907) since 1995. He has been a Board Member of the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) and a member of the ABPP Ethics Committee, he was Vice Chair of the ABPP Ethics Committee from 2009 to 2010, and he served as the Chair of the ABPP Ethics Committee from 2011 to 2012, during which time he was responsible for investigating, assigning, and supervising all ethical cases pertaining to the professional practice of psychology that were brought to the attention of the ABPP in the United States.
Dr. Ardalan previously served as a psychologist with the United States Air Force (USAF), finishing his career as the Mental Health Flight Commander at McClellan Air Force Base. As the Flight Commander, he directed three clinical and administrative programs, and was responsible for providing mental health services, evaluation of flight personnel, and Fitness For Duty Evaluations. Dr. Ardalan received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Howard University in 1992. He is a Qualified Medical Examiner and a Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) consultant for the California Highway Patrol.
Dr. Ardalan has performed thousands of pre-employment evaluations of peace officers. He is also a provider of CISM services for State of California Agencies and private organizations. Dr. Ardalan has also completed multiple POST-certified training programs through the California Department of Human Resources Psychological Screening Program in Sacramento, California, and substantially exceeds the POST continuing education requirements for psychologists conducting pre-employment psychological evaluations for law enforcement agencies.
